Janese Maricelli was born and raised in the Houston, Texas area. A child
of socially progressive values and continuous affection, she has a strong
sense of self and an extreme confidence in her beliefs and lifestyle. Brought
up by a large loving family, Janese had several influences to her style including
but not limited to; classic rock music like Jethro Tull and the Eagles,
1970's paraphernalia and clothing, and vintage and folk art.
As a practicing artist at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, she studied
photography, sculpture, Raku and fiber arts. The large array of mediums learned
allows her the use of multiple variations and an endless pallet.
Regarded by most as being free spirited and fun loving, Janese Maricelli
now resides with her husband, Carter Thomasson, in San Diego County California.
Her new home has welcomed her with open arms. She now creates pieces for
both the retail world and peace of mind. You can purchase any of her works
